Ten30 Morning Tea at SDA
Thank you for serving our church family by providing tea & coffee. It’s such a valuable time to share together. Please be looking out for new people and introducing them to others.
All Morning Tea Supplies Now Stored in Cupboard
We’re aiming to keep a larger supply of morning tea requirements in the cupboard and restock it once a month. If you are concerned that an item is getting low or missing please let Carolyn Grahm or Min Lee know. We appreciate your help with this.
What to do with the Rubbish?
We are required to take our rubbish back to St Aidan’s to put in our church bins. There is always a car or two taking things back to St Aidan’s after the service, particularly the box of Bibles, so you can ask them to also take the rubbish. Or you can drop it back yourself.
Set Up Checklist
Please set up before church begins.
Set up a table adjoining the bench from which morning tea will be served.
Please set up the urn and coffee percolator against the wall on the permanent bench to keep them out of the reach of children.
The urn for tea needs to be about half full.
Fill the coffee percolator with water to 25 cups, then add 3 cups of ground coffee to the top basket.
Coffee cups, water cups, long life milk, tea bags, sugar, stirrers, serviettes, biscuits, wipes and garbage bags are found in the cupboard.
Please check if the cold water esky has been filled by the person on kid’s morning tea. If not, please help them out by filling it and placing it with plastic cups on a folding table outside on the balcony.
During the summer months morning tea is served outside, near the SDA’s kitchen. Setting up takes a little longer, so it is helpful to arrive around 10am.
Please note - for handling hot urns and serving morning safely, we suggest -
Please boil the urns in the kitchen/hall area & set up morning tea tables nearer the hall doors.
The exception will be on wet days, we will have morning tea in the community room. On those days, the urns would be boiled on the bench near the handwash sink, and morning tea tables would be set up nearby.
Please make sure the hot urns are only carried by adults
