Bring Kids Morning Tea

Kids morning tea has been playing a great part and is beneficial for kids and adults in ensuring a welcoming and nurturing environment for all members who are attending St. Aidan’s. This role specifically focuses on organizing and facilitating morning tea sessions for kids, fostering a sense of community and fellowship among the younger members of the church.

There are two parts to the roster: veggies and sweets.

The first person is for veggies, and the second person is for sweets. Whoever brings the morning tea is also serving the morning tea. Please ensure all the children receive morning tea, and those who are later coming from their classes don't miss out. There are 30–40 kids attending our church, so plan for approximately 40 kids and make sure to have a variety of veggies and sweets. Please note that there are 3–5 kids who are gluten-free. Do not forget that St. Aidan is a nut-free church.

Set-up: Arrive early to set up the designated area (usually on the balcony near the kids church room window and elders put the table up) for the morning tea, and other volunteers might be able to assist with the setup and cleanup of the morning tea area. You must fill up an esky with water and take plastic cups out. The cups are in one of the containers in the cupboard (in the community room). There is a fridge in the kitchen if needed.

Clean-up: Wash the cups, dry them, and pack them away. There will be a tea towel to dry up.

Ensure a clean and tidy environment before, during, and after the morning tea session. Happy serving morning to our hungry children. Any feedback or concerns from parents or volunteers, please pass on to the admin office.
